The Contractor shall comply with all provisions of Chapter 878 of TCA 12-4-1 as it relates to certification of compliance regarding illegal immigrants. The Contractor shall complete the Statement of Compliance Certificate Illegal Immigrants and submit it with his/her bid. The Contractor shall be responsible for any of his/her Subcontractor's compliance with said law. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid to insure the execution of the contract for which such bid is made. The bid bond must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 list. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidders, but if the bid is accepted and the bidder shall refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the Town of Decatur, Tennessee within ten (10) days from the time he shall be notified of the acceptance of this bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Town of Decatur, Tennessee as liquidated damages for the failure to do so. STATE OF TENNESSEE, DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN'S SERVICES, V. MITCHELL RYAN WATSON The State of Tennessee, Department of Children's Services, has filed a petition in the McMinn County Juvenile Court, seeking to terminate the parental rights of Mitchell Ryan Watson to the child, Jordan Skylar Pierson. A trial in this case is set for October 6, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Watson must appear before this Court on that date to determine whether his parental rights to the subject child should be terminated and forever ended. The Court is located in Athens, Tennessee. If Mr. Watson does not come to the trial, the state will ask the Court to allow it to proceed without contest. That means that the state will ask the Court to let it present proof without having any lawyer appear and defend Mr. Watson's rights in court. If the Court believes that the Department of Children's Services has proved its case, then Mr. Watson's parental rights will be forever terminated, and he will never be able to see the child again or object to his adoption. If the Court issues an order granting the motion, Mr. Watson will have 30 days from entry of the order to contact the Court and appeal. Copies of all orders and motions filed in this case will be left for Mr. Watson with the Clerk of the Juvenile Court.
