Guy receives Daughters of the Confederacy honor

Tellico Iron Works Chapter 2636, United Daughters of the Confederacy, presented a Judah P. Benjamin Award to Joe D. Guy at the Oct. 11 meeting of the McMinn County Historical Society. This is a very prestigious award given by the General Organization of the UDC for works done for the community in several areas. Guy was awarded for education and historical research in and around McMinn and Monroe counties. He is president of the McMinn County Historical Society.
