Robert Lee Colbaugh

Robert Lee Colbaugh, 57, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

A lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, he was a charter member of Shiloh Youth Center, Inc., and was employed by Norfolk Southern Railroad in Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert and Ruby Denton Colbaugh; one brother, John Charles Colbaugh; and one sister, Rebecca Colbaugh.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Munger Colbaugh of Decatur; one son, Robert C. \"Robbie\" Colbaugh and special friend, Ashley Davis, of Decatur; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jamie and Joe Holden of Decatur, and Amy Colbaugh and fiance, Zac Anderson; six brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and June Colbaugh of Harrison, Raymond and Angel Colbaugh of Ooltewah, Calvin and Carolyn Colbaugh of Decatur, Melvin (twin brother to Calvin) and Virginia Colbaugh of Athens, Jimmy and Brenda Colbaugh of Decatur, and Lynn Colbaugh (twin brother to Lee) and special friend, Angie, of Decatur; one sister Deloris Grissom and husband, Richard Dickeson; two grandchildren, Lili Holden and Parker Holden; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Stan Hammond, the Rev. Mike King and the Rev. Jamie Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roger Rowland, Wayne Brown, Larry Ziegler, Kermitt Grissom, Donnie Smith, John Grissom and John T. Colbaugh.

The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Shiloh Cemetery Fund.

Bowers Funeral Home of Decatur was in charge of arrangements.
