T.D. Boatman, 72, of Etowah, died Friday morning, Nov. 21, 2008, at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home in Etowah.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Floyd A. and Minda Vaughn Boatman. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Travis Kincaid.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Miller Boatman of Englewood; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sherri Kincaid of Riceville, and Patricia and Jack Sims II of Athens; three sons, Ricky Boatman, Mike Boatman and Rocky Boatman, all of Athens; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Tom and Millie Boatman of Greensboro, N.C., and Charles Boatman of Tucson, Ariz.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McMinn Memory Gardens.

There will be no visitation held.
