Beatrice King

Beatrice Irene King, 96, of Etowah, died early Sunday morning, June 28, 2009, at McMinn Memorial Nursing Home.

A native of Knoxville, and a resident of McMinn County for most of her life, she was a daughter of the late Ledger and Minnie Lee Moss Hensley. She was of the Baptist faith, and was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin King; two sons, Ben and David King; one brother, Marvin Lee Hensley; and one sister, Louise Fredrick.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and P.W. Jones of Etowah, Marie and J.L. Coleman of Athens, and Nellie Sue and Robert Vaughn of Chattanooga; one son, Franklin King of Englewood; grandchildren and spouses, Doug and Alice Coleman, Steve and Lisa Coleman, Kim and Russell Harris, Sandra and Lowell Watson, Suzanna and Tom Short, Robert Vaughn, Hugh and Katherine King, Ian and Nancy King, Gail and Garry White, Tony and Miki King, Kolby Harris, Peyton Harris, Ezra and Amanda Coleman, Eliza Coleman, Elissa Coleman, Michael Coleman and Amber and Brent Cate; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were noon Monday at McMinn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Jack Bryan officiating.

No formal visitation was held.
