Guy Raymond Wiggins, 76, of Madisonville, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a longtime educator in Monroe County. He was owner/operator of Wiggins Hardware Store in Athens and was an avid boater at the Tellico Harbor Marina. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Gutherie Breeden Wiggins.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Jones Wiggins; four children and one spouse, David E. and Tami Wiggins of Madisonville, and Mike Wiggins, John Wiggins and Mary Love, all of Vonore; grandchildren, Skylar and Brycen, both of Vonore; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pat and Susan Jones of Vonore, Nioka and Scott Logan of Madisonville, and Brenda and Buddy Kidd of Maryville; special cousins, Mickey Jones, Jerry Vaughn and Tommy R. Jones; nieces, Brooke Jones Rabotte and Jessica Hingtgen; one nephew, Jeff Jones; co-worker, Mickey Eaves of Athens; and numerous other cousins and friends, including his beloved dog, Lilly, and special friends at Tellico Harbor Marina.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Biereley-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Alexander officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Corntassel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Corntassel Church Cemetery Fund, 2100 Povo Rd., Madisonville, TN 37354.
