William Ralph Hamilton, 71, of Englewood, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 4, 2009, at his residence.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish and worked for 35 years as a TV repairman at Williams Appliance in Englewood. A son of the late Harlin and Lorrine Vaughn Hamilton, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Randall Hamilton.

Survivors include his wife, Minnie Hamilton of Englewood; one son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Beth Hamilton of Englewood; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Gordon Nichol Jr. of Chattanooga; three sisters, Betty Brooks, Annita Evans and Charlotte Scruggs; four grandchildren, James, Brandon and Layla Hamilton and Harrison Nichol; and several other nieces, nephews and relatives.

Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Thursday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Hensley officiating and concluding with the Celebration of Life video. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday, and proceed to McMinn Memory Gardens for the noon burial.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
