Arnold Wall

A lifelong resident of McMinn County, he was a son of the late Joe and Callie Buckner Wall, and was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He was an active member of East Athens Baptist Church, where he taught a Sunday school class for 25 years. He was associated with the maintenance department of Epperson Hospital and the McMinn County Board of Education until his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Minnie Shugart Wall of Athens; one daughter and son-in-law, Tolitha and Bill Keylon of Athens; one son, Van Wall of Athens; two grandsons, Syllane Keylon of Athens, and Kris Keylon and his wife, Kevin, of Dalton, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Cade Keylon and Ansley Keylon; one sister, Ellen Shugart of Etowah; one brother, Russell Wall of Etowah; and one sister-in-law, Josie Henry of Maryville.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at East Athens Baptist Church with the Rev. Pete Mullins and the Rev. Bob Peek officiating. Burial will follow in McMinn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be nephews and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bill Burnett Sunday School Class at East Athens Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the East Athens Baptist Church Building Fund, 301 Central Ave., Athens, TN 37303.
