Shirley A. Wade, 71, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at her residence.

She was a member of McMahan Calvary Baptist Church and was active in the Relay for Life, Ladies Luncheon and as a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Lee Womac; and her husband, Clarence Latham.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Danny Wilson of Riceville, and Melanie and Randy Underwood of Athens; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Calvin and Connie Womac and Steve Womac, all of Athens; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bunny and Micky Watters of Athens, and Barbara Davis of Cleveland; one granddaughter, Michaela Underwood; three step-grandchildren and one spouse, Adam Wilson, Kristie and Nick Neely and Amy Murphy; and a host of church friends.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with Pastor Randall Bates and the Rev. Josh Key officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in Valley Road Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Monty Davis, Don Breedwell, Randy Breedwell, Jamie Womac, Chris Womac and Eric Womac.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
