He was a member of the Church of the Mighty God in Midtown and was retired after serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jo Stinnett.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Stinnett of Harriman; one son, James M. Stinnett of Sweetwater; one grandson, Joshua Clinton Stinnett; two grandchildren, Harley Nicole and Robert Joseph Vandervoort; one great-granddaughter, Kylie Ahna Swanson; one sister, Betty Thomas of Double Springs, Ala.; one brother, Pete Stinnett of Harriman; his stepmother, Geneva Stinnett; and beloved friends, Carol and Doug Hunt.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Mighty God with Pastor Arvil Sparks officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Valley Baptist Church Cemetery in Sweetwater.
Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of arrangements.
