Mary S. Glass, 89, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Willa Pate Smith; two husbands, George W. Parker and Kenneth Glass; two brothers, Seymore Smith and Emmitt Smith; one sister, Claudia Nix; one stepson, Bow Parker; and one stepdaughter-in-law, Patty Parker.

Survivors include two stepsons and one stepdaughter-in-law, Bobby B. and Janice Parker of Pikeville, and Oscar Benson Parker of Bushnell, Fla.; one daughter, Janice Q. Johnson of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Hugh Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
