James \"Jim\" Sisk

James \"Jim\" Sisk, 49, of Athens, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, due to complications of diabetes.



He was a member of Cedar Fork Baptist Church and was an avid music fan. A self-proclaimed and self-taught computer expert, he loved hot and spicy foods. He and his brother, Rich, were best friends and shared countless adventures. He loved road trips and exploring. He was passionate about everything he did and loved to be around family and friends.



He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Austin and Allie Howard.



Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Ray Turbyfill of Athens; his father and stepmother, J.B. and Ann Sisk of North Carolina; one brother and sister-in-law, Rich and Brenda Sisk of Charleston, S.C.; three stepsisters and two spouses, Tina and Ed Brown of Spring City, Tonya and Matt Delashmit of Englewood, and Carrie Shavers of Athens; nephews and nieces, Aaron and Nick Sisk, Chelsie and Cade Delashmit, Morgan and Eli Shavers and Michael Caylor; two aunts and spouses, Barbara and Jerry Berwanger and Vivian and Tim Kittle; and several cousins and many friends.



The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Fork Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will follow the service in Cedar Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.



Kyker Funeral Home of Sweetwater is in charge of arrangements.
