Lois Ann Baxter Hester, 48, of Athens, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Janie Louise Webb Baxter and was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Joyce Bookout. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her father, Billy Wayne Baxter Sr. of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne and Rhonda Gable of Athens; three grandchildren, Samantha Marie Gable, Joshua Dean Gable and Dominick Allen Wakely; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlene and Reeford Monroe of Sweetwater, and Debra Jane and Allen Stephens of Athens; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Wayne Jr. and Nancy Baxter and Terry Lee and Melva Baxter, all of Athens; her life partner, Willard Chrisman of Athens; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hampton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Vogus, Adam Bayes, Allen Randolph, Anthony Wright, Bobby Baxter and Danny Gable. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicky Collins and Chris Key.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
