Anna R. Melhorn, 67, of Ten Mile, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012.
She was a devoted Christian and a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Irene Trout Reynolds; and two sisters, Francis Reynolds and Glenda Hamby.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 48 years, Charles Otto Melhorn; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chuck and Angie Melhorn and Fred and Tammie Melhorn; four grandchildren, Brooke, Kinslee, John Tally and Annie Melhorn; one sister and brother-in-law, G.G. and Bobby Melhorn; one brother, Darry Reynolds; three aunts and one uncle, Doris Grice, Harvey Reynolds, Mildred Summers and Laurette Trout; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ten Mile, with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with Brother Rick Duncan officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to East Tennessee Children\'s Hospital or to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Kyker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of arrangements.
