Linda Mae Stokes, 60, of Athens, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville.



A native of Portsmouth, Va., and a resident of McMinn County for most of her life, she was the daughter of the late James Woodrow and Kathleen Odum Morgan. She was of the Church of God faith and was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Stokes, on Sept. 25, 1997; two brothers, James Robert Morgan and Jimmy Dennis Morgan; and one sister, Patsy Edwards.



Survivors include two sisters and brothers-in-law, Debra and Manuel Ramos of Benton, and Sharon and John Chase of Tacoma, Wash.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie Morgan of Athens, Danny Morgan of Maryville, and Michael and Jamie Morgan of Dunlap; nieces and nephews, Christian Morgan, Travis Morgan, Tammy Touton, Sherry Touton, Robbie Touton, Johnny Lee Chase, Diana and Jerardo Rodriguez, Brandon Ramos, Marie and Carlos Ramos, Daniel Morgan, Jason Morgan, Carrie Morgan, Jamie Morgan, Kenny Edwards and Jamie Edwards; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.



Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with Pastor Sonny Ledford and the Rev. Anthony Wynn officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
