Kevin Francis Beck of Athens died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, after suffering a massive stroke on Nov. 23.

Born April 30, 1972, and raised in Watertown, Conn., he was a son of Bernard Beck of Athens, and the late Diane Grover Beck.

He served several years and was honorably discharged in the U.S. Navy Hospital Corps and was also a medic with the Tennessee National Guard here in Athens until seven years ago. He was employed by Aspect Software and was also employed for many years by Tennessee Log Homes.

Survivors include his family, Tammy L. Beck, Christopher J.E. Beck, MacKenzie L.R. Beck, Lucas A.G. Beck, Noah C.D. Beck, MaryKaitlyn G. Beck and Gabriel F.S. Beck, all of Benton; one brother, Brian Beck of Waterbury, Conn.; and his father, Bernard Beck of Athens.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Christian Covenant Church, located at 120 County Road 616 in Athens. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship and a light covered dish lunch. Contact Pastor Steve Ward of Christian Covenant Church with any questions at 423-920-0808.
