Earl Kenneth Letner, 79, of Ten Mile, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at his residence.
He was pastor of Ten Mile Holiness Church for 30 years and was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Maude Clark Letner; his loving wife, Dorothy Armour Letner; one son, Ronald Keith Letner; brothers, Johnny, Lester, Chester \"Big Boy,\" Billy, Elmus \"Curley,\" Robert \"Cotton\" and J.W. \"Dub\" Letner; two sisters, Mary \"Monk\" Gunter and Wanda Faye Letner; one sister-in-law, Louise Letner; and three brothers-in-law, J.C. Gunter, \"Country\" John Letner and Frank Aikman.
Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Howard \"Bud\" and Carolyn Letner of Trion, Ga.; three sisters, Ann Letner of Ten Mile, Ruby Trusley of Georgetown, and Faye Letner of Ten Mile; one grandson, Triston Letner and his wife, Alisha; one great-granddaughter of whom he was very proud, Alayna Grace Letner; five sisters-in-law, Reba Letner and Connie Letner, both of Ten Mile, Bettye Letner of Harrison, Mable Butler and her husband, Nell, of Ten Mile, and Francis Ann Haskel and her husband, Brownie, of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Delmar Queen officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Roberts Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
