Ida Mae Roberts Holcomb, 89, of Etowah, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at her residence.
She was of the Pentecostal faith and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Nellie Bearden Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Fines Holcomb; one daughter, Holly Loope; two sons, Don and Melvin Holcomb; three grandsons, Anthony and Shane Evans and James Dale Hester; two brothers, Wilburn and Herb Roberts; and one sister, Bertha Roberts.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pat and Donnie Watson of Etowah, Faye and George Bearfield of Englewood, and Molly Wilson of Etowah; one brother and sister-in-law, Ivan and Annette Roberts of Englewood; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy McCarter officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McMinn Memory Gardens and will conclude with a white dove release ceremony.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
