Dorothy Banks, 82, of Etowah, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Woods Memorial Hospital.
She worked as a seamstress for Morgan Manufacturing. She was a native of Florida, but had lived in Etowah for the last 43 years. A daughter of the late Robert and Elsie Sealey, she was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Barrett; two sisters and two brothers.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Lee and Debbie Barrett of Spring City, Sid and Bonnie Barrett of Sorrento, Fla., and Alton Barrett of Warner Robins, Ga.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sandy and Jerry Barker and Shirley Coleman, all of Etowah; one brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Gail Sealey of Lynn, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Monday at Green Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Kinzel Hooker officiating.
No formal visitation was held.
