Amthiben Ranchhodlal Patel, 89, of Athens, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at her residence.
A native of India, she was a daughter of the late Somnath and Gangaben Patel. She was of the Hindu religion.
Survivors include two sons, Govind Bhai of Athens, and Ramesh Bhai of India; one daughter, Madhuben Patel of Mississippi; five grandsons; five granddaughters; one sister, Kantaben Patel of India; and one brother, Baldev Bhai Patel of Buffalo, N.Y.
A visitation and Shiva service began at 7:30 a.m. Monday at Smith Funeral & Cremation Services of Athens, and concluded at 10:30 a.m. at East Tennessee Crematory in Maryville with their Priest Harish Bhai officiating.
