Charles Albert \"Bud\" Walker

Charles Albert \"Bud\" Walker, 79, of Ten Mile, passed away Friday morning, Dec. 28, 2012, at Life Care Center of Athens.

A native and lifelong resident of Meigs County, he was a son of the late Ernest Millard and Willie Mae Bottoms Walker, and was preceded in death by three sisters, Jo Monday, Henrietta Mullins, and Betty Walker. He was a member of Rogers Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters and one brother-in-law, Annie Marie Walker of Athens, Nettie and Bill Kugler of Athens; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ernest \"Junior\" and Brenda Walker of Athens, Ray and Sandra Walker of Athens, and James Walker of Ten Mile; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were 7 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Jackson officiating. Burial was 2 p.m. Sunday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
