Larry Wilcox, 66, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.
Mr. Wilcox was born June 14, 1946, to the late Robert Sr. and Viola Rue Wilcox in Athens. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, and he was a construction electrician for TVA. He was an active member of the local VFW, the National Electrical Brotherhood, and was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Cedar Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Eva Sue Baker; and a brother, Ronnie Wilcox.
Survivors include his wife, Luanne Crace Wilcox; one son, Christopher Wilcox; one daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Travis Hart; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Dona Wilcox Jr., Jerry and Sally Wilcox, Rodney and Glenda Wilcox, and Joel and Frances Wilcox; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Regina and R.C. Baker, Lila Jean and Jim Welhunt, and Dale McElhaney; his grandchildren; Eric and Kennedy Hart; a special uncle, Danny Rue and his wife, Erma; as well as numerous other extended family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home with Brother John Petree and Brother Rick Burns officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Memorial Fund, Lebanon\'s New Leash on Life, or the Wounded Warrior Fund.
