Mary Lou Carroll Brown, 55, of Niota, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
She was a member of A Servants Heart Fellowship in Athens, a devoted wife and mother, and a lifelong companion. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Lester Carroll; and two brothers, James Walter Carroll and David Carroll.
Survivors include her husband, William Brown of Niota; one daughter and son-in-law, April and Ben Gray of Murfreesboro; her mother, Christine Carroll of Madisonville; two sisters, Lea Fox of Maryville and Barbara Gray of Madisonville; three brothers, Billy Carroll, Tommy Carroll and Jerry Carroll, all of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services were 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Biereley-Hale Chapel with Brother Bobby Sparks, Brother Phillip Carroll and Pastor Jeff Scott officiating. Burial followed in Chestua Methodist Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Biereley-Hale Funeral Home of Madisonville was in charge of arrangements.
