JoAnn Watson, 72, of Athens, died on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville.
A member of Etowah Church of Christ, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Hassie Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rondal Watson; and her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Amy Hembree of Athens; one granddaughter, Caitlyn Givens of Athens; one sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Tommy Hayes of Etowah; and several nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Minister Aaron Pope officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
Family and friends will assemble at McMinn Memory Gardens on Tuesday for the 11 a.m. committal service.
