Kenneth Cordell, 78, of Soddy-Daisy, died on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013.
Born and raised in Decatur, he lived most of his life in the Hamilton County area. He was of the Baptist faith and he served our country in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, June Cordell; his father and mother, Bill and Leona Cordell; and one brother, Billy Cordell.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenny and Laura Cordell, and Greg Cordell; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lisa Cordell and Kim and Scott Houston; two grandsons, Nathan and Nicklos Cordell; one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Ben O\'Daniel; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Harold and Dean Cordell, and J.T Cordell; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
