Edna Sue Womac, 75, of Calhoun, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the family residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Womac; her parents, Ed and Pearl Casteel; and three sisters, Doris Casteel, Francis Bennett and Faye Fain.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Diane and Danny Reno of Riceville, Sandra and Homer Fansler of Old Fort, Norma and Randall Tatum of Calhoun, and Aaron and Ashley Womac of Calhoun; grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Danita Fansler of McDonald, Michael and Marsha Fansler of Tennga, Ga., and Lacey and B.J. Fentress of Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Bobby Fentress, Melanie Fentress, Mia Fansler and Tyler Fansler; three sisters; Margaret Holt, Lena Mae Casteel and Georgia Jo Large; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Charlotte Casteel and William and Chris Casteel; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.
A memorial service was 2 p.m. Saturday at Hiwasse Baptist Church in Calhoun with the Rev. Roy Hogan and the Rev. Stanley Liner officiating.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 Saturday prior to the service at the church.
