Lillian Joyce Moses, 86, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Life Care Center of Athens.

A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Russell H. and Sallie Ellen Snider Moses, and preceded in death by an infant brother and sister; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Charlie Graham; and brother-in-law, T.L. Rollins. She was retired from White Westinghouse and was a former employee of Van Raalte Hosiery Mill. She loved to crochet and quilt, and was a member of East Athens Baptist Church. She enjoyed attending church services at the nursing home and never forgot the words to the hymns she loved to sing.

Survivors include two sisters, Elsie Rollins of Riceville and Beulah Chandler of Athens; two nephews, Ben Graham and Doug Graham; and four nieces, Brenda Rollins, Virginia Rollins, Sheila Rollins and Ellen Derington.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Laycock-Hobbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Emmitt Morgan and the Rev. Jeremy MacMurray officiating. Burial will be in McMinn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
