Joyce Lela Borden, 78, of Englewood, died on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at her residence.
A daughter of the late Mitchell \"Bud\" and Ida Stella Ervin, she was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers-in-law, Viola and Johnny Cline, Olivia and Alvin Gibson, Ethel and Joe Arnold and Edna and Arthur Buckner; brother and sister-in-law, James and Ann Ervin; and brother-in-law, Carl Duckett.
Survivors include her husband, William Larry Borden of Englewood; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Mitch and Lisa Borden of Madisonville and Brian Borden of Atlanta, Ga; one daughter and son-in-law, Denise Borden Cunningham and husband, Jeff, of Athens; grandchildren, Sarah Cunningham of Knoxville, Lauren and Anna Grace Cunningham, both of Athens, and Abbey Borden of Madisonville; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Alene Duckett of Cleveland and Pauline Risner and Vernon Campbell of Ohio.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMinn Memory Gardens with Pastor Russ Maples officiating.
No formal visitation will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Faye Forgety, 120 County Road 447, Athens, TN 37303.
