Jackie Kelly \"Trae\" White III

Jackie Kelly \"Trae\" White III, 16, formerly of Niota, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.



A former student of McMinn Central High School and current student of Shelbyville Central High School, he enjoyed mudding, hunting, fishing and his truck. He had a budding interest in taxidermy. He was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Georgia Rookard and Ruby Winkler; and his great-uncle, Gene Winkler.



Survivors include his father and stepmother, Kelly and Rena White of Dalton, Ga.; his mother, Lorna Watts of Lewisburg; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lacie and Michael Massengill of Englewood and Dawn and Nick Bishop of Sweetwater; his brothers, Mitch Mitchell of Riceville and Liam White of Lewisburg; his grandparents, Jackie and Sue White of Englewood, Patsy and Steve Walker of Riceville and Robert and Pam Rookard of Etowah; his girlfriend, Jessica Kaelyn Smith of Athens; his best friend, Layne Murphy of Athens; aunt and uncles, Mary and Coleman Riley of Englewood and Bobby White of Madisonville; cousins, Jacob Buckner, Jessica Fyffe, Mandy White, Karen and Michael Johnson and Kaeli and Paige Johnson; and friends, Nick Conley and Tracy Hazel.



Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Saturday in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Cardin and Pastor Chris Hamilton officiating.



Pallbearers will be Kelly White, Coleman Riley, Bobby White, Layne Murphy, Nick Conley and Glen Barnett. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday prior to the service.



Family and friends will assemble at Sunrise Cemetery on Sunday for the 2 p.m. committal service.



In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to your local rescue squad.
