Robert \"Cecil\" Parsons, 57, of Etowah, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Kindred Nursing Home in Loudon.
A son of the late Essie Allene Cornett and T.L. Parsons, he was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gloria Jean Parsons Petersons; brother, John David Parsons; and brother-in-law, Jerry Allen Davis.
Survivors include his \"Dearest One\"; two sons, Robert Aaron Parsons and Benjamin Dewayne Parsons; one granddaughter, Zaranna Hurtey; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, James T. and Jo Ann Parsons of Maxville, Fla., and William Doyle and Sarah Parsons; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Pat Parsons and Nicholas Liapis of Oxnard, Calif., Delta Pearl Parsons Davis of Mt. Dora, Fla., and Donna Marylee Parsons and Butch Magarian of Winder, Ga.; a special niece, Brenda Gail Davis of Mt. Dora, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews
Graveside services were 11 a.m. Friday at Old Salem Cemetery with Chaplain Mike Jackson officiating.
No formal visitation was held.
