Jimmie \"Buddie\" Hollifield, 71, of Etowah, died on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at an Etowah health care center.
She was of the Baptist faith. She was retired from M&M Mars in Cleveland and was a member of the Chemical Workers Union, Beta Club and Science Club.
She was a very caring and giving person and was loved by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hollifield; and one son, Freddie Lynn Hollifield.
Survivors include her loving grandson, William Zachary \"Zach\" Hollifield of Ormond Beach, Fla.; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation Center with Dr. Shane Arnold officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
