Frank Alexian Varosian, 71, of Athens, died Monday, March 11, 2013, at his residence.
A native of Dearborn, Mich., he was a son of the late John Alexian and Glade Cheatham Varosian and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Wilson Varosian; his second wife, Dorothy Duggan Varosian; and one brother, Jerry John Varosian.
He attended Riceville Church of God and was a self-employed electrician until his retirement.
Survivors include one daughter, Sonya Goodine of Athens; one son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Alexander and Jessica Varosian of Decatur; grandchildren, Kendra and Caleb Goodine and Sophia Alexian Varosian; and one great-grandson, Elijah Goodine.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Smith Funeral & Cremation Services with Pastor Anthony Wynn officiating. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Liberty Cemetery in Murphy, N.C.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Varosian, Caleb Goodine, Robert Violet, Mark Hancock and Daniel Dressler.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
