Violet Bailey Creasman, 84, of Calhoun, joined her Savior and loved ones in her eternal home on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
She was born on May 7, 1928, in Bradley County. She resided in Calhoun and was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover C. and Nettie H. Bailey; her husband, Harold Creasman; one son-in-law, Dale Goforth; an infant granddaughter, Terri Ann Goforth; and one great-grandson, Easton Smith.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Karen Goforth and Patti Smith and her husband, Eddie, all of Calhoun; grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Brad and Katie Smith of Fairhope, Ala., and Kent and Cayci Smith of Cleveland; one great-grandson, Forrest Smith of Fairhope, Ala.; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Fike Funeral Home with the Rev. Oran Creasman officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Calhoun Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Purser officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Jones, Tommy Jones, Bill Pittman, Michael Liner, George Shamblin, Ron Creasman, Barry Creasman, J.W. Lee and Max Carroll.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
