Myrtle Marion Curtis Williams, 94, of the South Liberty community near Riceville, passed away on Thursday morning, March 14, 2013, at her daughter\'s home.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Ruel and Onie Brannon Curtis, and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Williams; a daughter and son-in-law, Wilma and Billy O\'Daniel; two sisters, Evelyn Dodd and Helen Robinson; and six brothers, Page Curtis, Bill Curtis, Calvin Curtis, Mutt Curtis, Lee Curtis and Gene Moore Curtis.
She retired from Athens Manufacturing Company and was the oldest living member of South Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Egenia and Ricky Johnson of Athens; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Wayne and Shelby Williams of Athens and Ed Williams of Athens; six grandchildren, Shelia Hunt and her husband, Randy, Maria Hyde and her husband, Randy, Monty O\'Daniel, Marion O\'Daniel and his wife, Jaclyn, Cayci Johnson, and Cody Johnson and his wife, Melissa; eight great-grandchildren, Angela Gill, Dewayne Gill, Jared O\'Daniel, Lana O\'Daniel, Draken Williams, Megan Hyde, Mykala Hyde and Braylen Johnson; and one great-great-grandson, Peyton Hunt.
Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Watson and the Rev. Josh Duncan officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in South Liberty Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Johnson, Monty O\'Daniel, Randy Hunt, Dewayne Gill, Marion O\'Daniel and Randy Hyde.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
