Scott Hunt, 46, of Cleveland, and formerly of Sweetwater, died Monday, May 6, 2013.
He was born on May 28, 1966, and was a son of the late Bill Hunt. He was a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church.
His fun loving and great sense of humor made him a person who was loved by many. He never passed up the opportunity to help out a friend. He was a gifted actor and writer helping with many productions of the \"Candies Hams\" of Candies Creek Baptist Church. He was also a talented cook, but will be most remembered for being a loving husband and father.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Tammy Jackson Hunt; two children, Chandler Hunt and Mason Hunt; his mother, Joann Quackenbush and her husband, Bob; his stepmother, Betty Long Hunt; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, the Rev. Jimmy and Linda Jackson; three sisters, Debbie Williams and her husband, Tom, Vickie Hunt and her friend, Liza, and Lisa Kasior and her husband, Shane; one brother, Jeffrey Quackenbush and his family; and numerous other extended family members, church family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Candies Creek Baptist Church, located at 294 Old Eureka Road in Charleston, with the Rev. Jamie Work officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Candies Creek Baptist Church Mission Fund in Scott\'s memory.
