Mae Bryant, 86, of Ten Mile, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born on Feb. 15, 1927, she was a member of Watts Bar Church of God and was a daughter of the late Richard and Addie Barker Stephens. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Carl \"Peanut\" Bryant; three sisters, Mary Waters, Myrtle McMahan and Maude Eisenhower; three brothers, Robert, Max and Tom Stephens; and one daughter-in-law, Norma Bryant.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, David and Wanda Bryant of Decatur, Ronnie and Peggy Bryant of Ooltewah, Pam and Kenneth Simons of Cleveland, and Cathy and Donnie Smith of South Carolina; her grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and Steve McClure, Paula Charles, Shannon Bryant, Allison and Jeff Thompson, Heath and Rachel Smith, Jennifer Hughes and her friend, Patrick, and Tyler and Carrie Simons; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Connie Goins and the Rev. Kelly Goins officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Twin Eagle Cemetery in Ten Mile.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Simons, Jeff Thompson, Heath Smith, Steve McClure, Bryson Bayles and Sam Inman.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
