Frank Pullen, 66, of Newnan, Ga., died Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born May 31, 1947 in Etowah, to the late Rev. Homer Pullen and Nora Green Pullen. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard after 20 years of service. He retired from Eastern Airlines when it dissolved. Finally, he retired from the Coweta County Sheriff\'s office where he worked as a detention officer and deputy sheriff for 17 years.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Newnan, Ga. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Estelle Pullen; and his siblings, Patricia Pullen, Carroll Pullen and Leona Duke.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Pullen; his children, Tanya Martin, Jason Minix, and Matthew Thomas and his wife, Tiffany; two sisters, Dottie Thomas of Chamblee, Ga., and Lois Legg of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Tori, Amanda, Jason Jr., Alexis and Abigail; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Arp officiating.
Burial with full military honors will follow at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Georgia National Cemetery, located at 1080 Veterans Cemetery Road in Canton, Ga.
The family will receive friends Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. each day at the funeral home.
