Engagement announcement and wedding story forms are available at The DPA office during regular business hours. Information must be printed or typed, and should be brought to The DPA at least one month from the date of the wedding. Announcements are published on Fridays only. Wedding stories and photos must be submitted to The DPA within 90 calendar days of the event. Those submitted after 90 days up to 6 months will be published for $15. Please do not submit wedding stories before the event has taken place.
We will publish announcements for anniversaries 25 years or more on Thursdays. We will include the name of the couple, their wedding date and anniversary number; the names of their children; the number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and the time, place and date of an event to honor them.
Information and photos of new arrivals must be submitted within a month of the child's birth. Forms submitted for children beyond three months of age may not be used.

Please state whether the child is a boy or a girl. Information we can publish includes the full name of the child; the child's birthdate, birth weight and length; the hospital where the child was born; parents, grandparents, great-grandparents; and siblings. No aunts, uncles or cousins.
If the parent's last names are different a form must be signed IN PERSON by the child's father, giving permission for his name to be used.
Photos and information for first and second birthdays will be published in The DPA at no charge as space permits. Most announcements are published after the event has taken place. Information should be clearly printed or typed, and all photos must be identified. Only the photo of the honoree will be used. Information we can publish includes the full name and nickname of the child; the child's birthdate; parents', grandparents and and great-grandparents names; the names of brothers and sisters; and the date of the birthday party, if different from the child's birthdate. We will also publish birthday wishes for anyone over 75 years of age as a free service on the Lifestyles page. Information we can publish includes the persons full name, date of their birth, date of their celebration, number of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Forms are available at the front desk on The Daily Post-Athenian.
Good quality photographs no larger than 5x7 are preferred, and may be in either color or black and white. A name and telephone number should be included on the back of the photograph. Photos will be returned when accompanied by a self-addressed, stamped envelope, or should be picked up within 30 days of publication. All information must be very clearly printed or typed and have your name and a telephone number where you can be reached during regular business hours. You may also email the photo to: community@dailypostathenian.com, but the email message must include identifying information. All photographs are published as room permits.
